Phillip Lim is a master of casual cool. No matter how feminine his collection gets it never loses sight of its unpretentious and easy going vibe. Looking at his fresh cast of newcomers (led by the striking Kasia Wrobel) walking down the runway in grey tweed jackets and brightly colored separates was a refreshing experience. Shades of army green, blue and crimson stood out from the fray, as did a delicious cream coat on Linnea Regnander. Lim’s use of texture (play on texture are becoming a F/W 11 standout) was also of note, with patent and matte working together in perfect harmony.
