Little Boy

Little Boy: The Arts of Japan’s Exploding Subculture is a major exhibition and series of public art installations curated by Takashi Murakami, the Japanese artist known for fusing high art with low (read pop) culture.

Little Boy concludes Murakami’s “Superflat” trilogy, a project exploring otaku, a Japanese youth subculture obsessed with fantastic and apocalyptic science fiction, fantasy, video games, manga comics and anime. Mark your calendars for April 8 – July 24, 2005 and look for public art installations by Kaikai Kiki Factory artists displayed at NYC venues.
