CFDA Releases NYFW Spring 2026 Preliminary Schedule
The CFDA has unveiled the preliminary New York Fashion Week Spring 2026 schedule, featuring over 60 designers set to showcase their latest collections. Kicking off the week is Michael Kors on Thursday, September 11, while Agbobly shows on Tuesday, September 16, with the closing spot yet to be announced. Familiar names return to the calendar, including Altuzarra, Anna Sui, Coach, Calvin Klein, Campillo, Christian Siriano, Collina Strada, Diotima, FFORME, Luar, Prabal Gurung, Sandy Liang, Sergio Hudson, Simkhai, Tory Burch, and Ulla Johnson. This season also welcomes first-time participants such as 6397, Amir Taghi, Dwarmis, Lii, Maria McManus, Nardos, Raúl Peñaranda, Rùadh, and SC103, signaling fresh perspectives and new creative voices on the runway. The CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund continues its tradition of spotlighting emerging talent, with this season’s finalists including Ashlyn, Bach Mai, Bernard James, Don’t Let Disco, Gabe Gordon, Heirlome, Jamie Okuma, and Meruert Tolegen. London Fashion Week Tentative Calendar Is Here
Just as NYFW’s preliminary Spring 2026 calendar got announced, the British Fashion Council (BFC) has released its tentative lineup for the September 2025 edition of London Fashion Week, scheduled for September 18 to 22. The announcement follows the appointment of Laura Weir as the BFC’s new CEO and comes shortly after she introduced new guidelines aimed at making the event more accessible to independent designers. One of the most significant changes this season is the waiving of show fees for designers presenting on the main schedule, marking a major win for smaller brands looking to showcase their work. Making their London Fashion Week debuts this fall are Anamika Khanna, Dreaming Eli, Lucila Safdie, Unhidden, Kyle Ho, Rory William Docherty, and Kseniaschnaider. Among the returning independent designers are Chopova Lowena , Marques’ Almeida, Tove, Dilara Findikoglu, and Susan Fang. Conner Ives, winner of the 2025 BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund, will also return to the lineup. Burberry, Erdem, Simone Rocha, and Emilia Wickstead are set to present in their usual runway formats, while J.W. Paris Fashion Week Spring 2026 Preliminary Calendar
Paris Fashion Week Spring 2026 is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated seasons in years. Running from September 29 to October 7, the preliminary calendar includes 76 runway shows and 36 presentations, and ushers in a new era for some of fashion’s most iconic houses. This season is defined by a wave of major creative director debuts. New designers will present their first women’s ready-to-wear collections at Dior, Chanel, Balenciaga, Loewe, Mugler, Jean Paul Gaultier, Maison Margiela, and Carven. According to the schedule released by the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, no major houses are slated for the final day on October 7, a notable shift from last season’s closing lineup of Chanel, Miu Miu, and Saint Laurent. Instead, Chanel will trade its usual Tuesday morning slot for an evening show on October 6. Matthieu Blazy will present his highly anticipated debut for the house at 8 p.m. at the Grand Palais. Saint Laurent will open the week with an 8 p.m. show on September 29 and is expected to return to its signature Trocadéro location near the Eiffel Tower. Jonathan Anderson’s first collection for Dior is scheduled for October 1 at 2:30 p.m. Pierpaolo Piccioli will unveil his vision for Balenciaga on October 4 at 8 p.m. Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez will show their debut collection for Loewe on October 3 at 11:30 a.m. Miguel Castro Freitas takes the reins at Mugler with a presentation on October 2 at noon. Duran Lantink will reintroduce ready-to-wear at Jean Paul Gaultier for the first time in over a decade with his debut show on October 5 at 4:30 p.m. Glenn Martens, having recently presented his first couture collection for Maison Margiela, will debut ready-to-wear for the house on October 4 at noon. Mark Thomas Howard, longtime deputy to Louise Trotter, will make his debut for Carven on October 2 at 4 p.m. Three designers will join the official schedule for the first time: Matières Fécales, Julie Kegels, and Meryll Rogge. Sofia Coppola Directs Documentary on Marc Jacobs
Sofia Coppola has directed her first-ever documentary, with longtime friend Marc Jacobs as its subject. Titled Marc by Sofia, the film will premiere later this summer at the Venice Film Festival, screening out of competition and therefore not in the running for the top prize. The project is a natural extension of their decades-long friendship and creative collaboration. Over the years, Coppola has starred in Jacobs’ campaigns, worked alongside him at Louis Vuitton, collaborated on Heaven by Marc Jacobs, and directed the ads for his Daisy fragrance. [W Magazine]
Condé Nast Shuts Down Vogue Club
Condé Nast is shutting down Vogue Club, its membership-based fashion community that aimed to bring readers closer to the world of Vogue. The program’s final Instagram post was shared on May 15 and featured Julia Hobbs, who helped develop the initiative before stepping down as British Vogue’s fashion features director and transitioning into a senior contributor role. She led the program alongside a team of social media and video editors who also contributed to other Condé Nast departments. According to Vogue’s website, a standard membership cost $30 a month or $300 annually, while founding members paid $25 a month or $250 per year. Subscribers received access to exclusive content, including original articles, videos, live and recorded events, as well as perks like discounts and welcome gifts. Launched in 2023, Vogue Club promised to “demystify the industry and help you make new friends in fashion.” [WWD]
Jim Jarmusch Directs New Saint Laurent-Backed Film
Saint Laurent Productions, the cinematic arm of the fashion house helmed by Anthony Vaccarello, announced its latest feature film: Father Mother Sister Brother. Written and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Jim Jarmusch, this new movie is set to premiere in competition at the 2025 Venice Film Festival, marking Jarmusch’s first appearance in the festival’s main competition lineup. The film, is structured as three interconnected stories, exploring the complex emotional terrain between adult children and their distant parents. Set across three locations, the northeastern United States, Dublin, Ireland, and Paris, France, each chapter weaves a subtle narrative of familial ties, solitude, and quiet beauty.
