3 For the Road

Natalie, Rad Hourani, Charlotte Di Calypso, all wearing Rad Hourani.

Rad Hourani’s fragrance was one of the most popular ones at the 6 Scents party, with people gathering around to test the scent. Much of the early buzz surrounding the perfume centered around the opening, which is meant to mimic the scent of sperm, but the powdery dry-down evoked something much less salacious – baby powder. In spite of the youthful accords the scent crafted by Hourani and perfumer Christophe Raynaud still had a sexy edge and with elegant notes like violet leaf, ylang ylang and cedarwood, it was easy to see why it was the evening’s finest.

Simon Nessman (right) celebrates his big 21st birthday with longtime pals Andrew and Miles. “My parents, girlfriend and Jason (his agent at Soul) got together and flew in my 2 best friends, who’ve never been to NY. That was pretty incredible.”

One of our favorites models, Kate Dillon (in a gorgeous Edun dress) at her organization, the Komera Project‘s screening of the award-winning documentary A Small Act (2010 Sundance Selection and NYTimes Film Critic pick). Komera Project, if you remember from our interview with her, provides scholarships for secondary school to girls in rural Rwanda. Kate, whose first child is due next month, epitomizes everything that is amazing about the fashion industry. (A Small Act is playing now at the Quad Cinema in NY).
