Rick Owens F/W 2012
Rick Owens Fall/Winter 2012
Fashion insiders are notoriously hard to impress, but turn up the heat and you’ll be surprised at the reaction it gets. Rick Owens‘ fall showing began with a burst of fire and a collective gasp from the audience. Models stomped out in masks that were somewhere between knit beanie and net veil, hiding their faces save for a swipe of bright red lipstick. Morose as the Owens look can be, there is still room for glamour. Those shrouds of slate material are the best money can buy and Owens’ leatherwork still ranks among the finest in the industry. Though many of the ensembles were as dark and brooding as we’ve come to expect from fashion’s resident goth, there were hints of color via an unexpected series of orange toned looks that added a welcome lightness and echoed some of the colors found in the flamey intro.

Another Rick Owens masterpiece!
I loved the cool beanies/veil pieces and the layering. Plus the bold checked jacket and those brown croc textured heels.
