It is inspiring and heart warming to see Japan Fashion Week hasn’t lost its creative edge in these very difficult times, as Danny and David Roberts report back on their recent trip to Tokyo: “The individual style displayed during Tokyo Fashion Week shone with a brilliance that was hard to deny. All of the collections gave the very distinct impressions that the designers were each possessed with a completely unique vision for fashion. Each show perfectly represented that vision, from the music to the venue to the lighting. And yet, a very common theme was evident throughout all of the collections. A theme of moving forward, while at the same time falling back on the rich Japanese heritage and strong classic sense of aesthetic in the hopes of creating a beautiful future.”
