Jen Kao is a designer who puts her own spin on things, taking a classic item like a column gown and reimagining it as a flourish of psychedelic fringe couture. For fall Kao takes fans on an acid trip, with a richly printed and patterned collection filled with fascinating abstractions. Metallic knits, shimmering separates, gold body suits; more is always more in the world of Kao, but with with one of a kind textures and known nods to the work of McQueen, Kao keeps our interest.
