Take a peek at our favorite campaigns of the year and be sure to let us know what were your favorite in the comments.
CAMPAIGNS
Bottega Veneta F/W 10 | Ph. Robert Longo
MODELS:- Alla Kostromichova & Terron Wood | Art Director: Doug Lloyd | Hair: Didier Malige | Makeup: Tom Pecheux
High fashion and high art meet again with an inspired remix of Longo’s classic, Men in the Cities series. Alla and Terron play their parts perfectly and create some incredible poses.
Louis Vuitton F/W 10 | Ph. Steven Meisel
MODELS:: Christy Turlington, Karen Elson & Natalia Vodianova | Fashion Editor: Karl Templer | Hair: Guido Palau | Makeup: Pat McGrath
With a set of supermodels you really can’t go wrong, but when you throw in Marc Jacobs’ lovely ultra-feminine LV collection and Meisel’s magic touch something beautiful happens.
YSL F/W 2010 | Ph. Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin
Models: Daria Werbowy & Ian O’Brien | Fashion Editor: Joe McKenna | Hair: Luigi Murenu | Makeup: Tom Pecheux
Subtlety and elegance are two hallmarks of the YSL brand and the fall campaign captured that beautifully.
Givenchy F/W 10 | Ph. Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott
CAST – Ming Xi, Joan Smalls, Paolo Roldan, Dafne Cejas, Willy Cartier, Lea T, Malgosia Bela,
Catherine McNeil, Simon Nessman, Jonathan Marquez and Mariacarla Boscono
An eye-catching and eclectic mix of everything we love about Givenchy, complete the unexpected bonus of technicolor hair makeovers for Catherine & Malgosia.
Calvin Klein S/S 10 | Ph. Steven Klein
CAST – David Agbodji Art Director: Fabien Baron | Sets: Mary Howard
You just can’t take your eyes off of these. Klein’s images for CK are simple, hypnotic and instantly call to mind the brand’s body conscious aesthetic. The ads provide a spectacular showcase for David and an enticing preview of the futuristic collection.
Lanvin Menswear S/S 2010 | Ph. Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin
CAST : Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin
Photographers starring in their own campaign? The idea is just so crazy it could work and it does, beautifully. The witty and irreverent images created by the duo are right in line with Lanvin’s mix of fashion and humor. Besides, Vinoodh looks pretty good in a suit.

Wow, i thought there were more to come. For example Lara’s iconic Calvin Klein campaign. I’m not really interested in mens campaigns.
I loved Prada F/W 2010 (but apparently i’m one of the few) and I loved Balenciaga F/W 2010 and Miu Miu S/S and F/W 2010.

I had some similar choices. I posted my favourites over two weeks ago. I can’t believe I forgot about that menswear campaign from Lanvin though, certainly a favourite for me.
Check it out:

I would go for the LV definitely and also the CK pops. I agree that from a creative point of view I don’t find YSL that appealing, but I guess that’s a choice they make. For them the focus must be on the clothes, where others just scream at you in a way. I like those two element combined, might lean a bit more to the ones that really pop, that’s why out of these choices I would go for LV. And for something missing: Miu Miu maybe

ow and I found Givenchy a bit dissapointing. It’s just OK for me, and with Tisci and the cast they got I had higher hopes for them. Maybe it’s a bit too crowded, like when there’s a bit of an emphasis

Yes Bottega. Yes Givenchy. Yes Lanvin. Yes to everything here.
Lets ad Raquel in Mcqueen’s s/s 2010 and Miranda, Aiden, and Kasia for Jil Sander f/w 2010

I love the Lanvin campaign but What about the F/W Balenciaga campaign with Freja Beha Erichsen,
Meghan Collison and Kirsi, I think they deserve a slot in this list as well as well as the F/W Chanel campaign with Freja and Abbey was equally as great!! But considering the ones shown above I would have to say that my personal favorite was the Givenchy campaign and the Bottega Veneta campaign, It may have to deal with the intensity in the Givenchy one and the strong posing and simplicity in the other one, and not meant to be bias but Bottega Veneta is my personal favorite fashion house!!!
