Those private minutes in the bathroom, applying your skincare before deciding who you are going to be that day, were the starting point for Ottolinger duo Christa Bösch and Cosima Gadient’s S/S 27 collection, Moisturizer. The result was an Ottolinger that felt more sensual, with sheerness, swimwear, and cut taking centre stage rather than deconstruction alone, while the brand’s instinct for asymmetrical lines remained; this time, they channelled that through fluidity, jersey fabrics that flowed against the body like “cream on skin,” and body-skimming silhouettes in rose pink and tan orange. The palette moved from slinky black and white into soft pinks, with faux fur pieces and bandana-print fabrics adding some texture. The duo even created their own take on office siren dressing, pairing a sharp black blazer worn open over a deconstructed white shirt with high-waisted stirrup trousers that asymmetrically cut away at the hip, adding some sensuality to the mix. The shoes were a statement accessory, with their grid-like quilted material that almost resembled a tire and a bold red heel that felt architectural. The casting, by Franziska Bachofen Echt of Je Suis Casting, was a moment of its own, with Offset, Coi Leray, and Diya Joukani walking, and Heidi Klum closing.
