Met Gala 2026 Reveals Theme Fashion Is Art
The first Monday in May, better known as the Met Gala, returns with Costume Art the spring exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. The theme has officially been announced, with this year’s dress code titled Fashion Is Art. Echoing the exhibition’s focus on the “centrality of the dressed body,” the show explores interpretations of the human form through works drawn from the Met’s extensive collection. The prompt asks guests to consider the innovative ways designers treat the body as their canvas. The co-chairs for the 2026 Met Gala are Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman,Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour. The Gala Host Committee, co-chaired by Anthony Vaccarello and Zoë Kravitz, includes Sabrina Carpenter, Doja Cat, Gwendoline Christie,Alex Consani, Misty Copeland, Elizabeth Debicki, Lena Dunham, Paloma Elsesser, Lisa, Chloe Malle, Sam Smith, Teyana Taylor, Lauren Wasser, Anna Weyant, A’ja Wilson, and Yseult, with additional members Adut Akech, Angela Bassett, Sinead Burke, Rebecca Hall, Aimee Mullins, Tschabalala Self, Amy Sherald, and Chase Sui Wonders. As this year’s lead sponsors of both the gala and the exhibition, Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos will serve as honorary chairs. [Vogue]

Zadig & Voltaire Taps Dan Sablon
Zadig & Voltaire has tapped Dan Sablon as creative director under the leadership of founder and owner Thierry Gillier. Gillier, who resumed day-to-day creative control following the departure of Cecilia Bönström in 2024, will remain focused on steering the business. Sablon will spearhead ready-to-wear, handbags, eyewear, and store design as part of a broader brand revamp.Sablon currently serves as culture director-at-large at Vogue France and was previously fashion director of Lui magazine. Paris-born, he began his career in New York with a six-year stint at Marc Jacobs and has since collaborated with brands including Carhartt and Fenty x Puma. [WWD]

Vogue World Is Heading To Milan
After stops in New York, London, Paris, and Los Angeles, Vogue World is now heading to Milano for its fifth edition on September 22, opening day of Milan Fashion Week. Marc by Sofia Documentary Trailer Is Here
A close friend of Marc Jacobs, Sofia Coppola offers her own perspective in the new A24 documentary Marc by Sofia. With the trailer now released, the film places Coppola behind the lens, tracing Jacobs’s evolution from his tenure as Louis Vuitton’s creative director to the launch of his Spring 2024 collection. Beyond the career milestones, the documentary also captures the decades-long friendship between Coppola and Jacobs, which dates back to the 1990s, adding a personal dimension to the designer’s story. Marc by Sofia premieres in select New York theaters on March 20 before expanding nationwide on March 27.

Emily Lipson Releases Dykes Book
Emily Lipson releases Dykes, a 220-page photographic book developed over several years in close collaboration with its subjects. Bringing together more than 50 individuals, the project unfolds through sustained proximity and trust. Moving between portraiture and fashion, the work centers on dyke identity, visibility, and authorship. Designed by SJ Todd, the book places at its core a community whose visibility has historically been shaped by an external gaze rather than self-definition. The accompanying exhibition opened on Thursday, February 26, in Paris and will be on view through the end of the month at 28 Rue du Petit Musc. The book is currently available for pre-order here.
