National Caviar Day may have came and went on July 18th, but New Yorkers still have the perfect reason to indulge at Caviar Kaspia. The Parisian restaurant recently made its debut on the Upper East Side, finding a home at The Mark last year. The storied eatery, which opened its doors in 1927, has expanded its reach to cities across the globe, including Dubai, São Paulo, Saint Tropez, London, Los Angeles, and now, Turkey. The New York restaurant carries on the Parisian hub’s legacy of elegance and charm, designed by French interior designer Jacques Grange, who also designed The Mark Hotel. With his expert touch, Caviar Kaspia marries old-world charm with a contemporary ambiance, providing an ideal setting for special occasions and a fashion party or two. The restaurant has quickly become a favorite of luxury brands and e-retailers, hosting events for Burberry, Loewe, and Moda Operandi. After the 2024 Met Gala, Burberry’s creative director, Daniel Lee, celebrated at Caviar Kaspia for the brand’s afterparty, drawing guests like Chloë Sevigny, Marc Jacobs, and Naomi Campbell. With fashion week just around the corner, more gatherings at the restaurant are sure to be on the horizon. Setting the scene with its signature blue tablecloths, Caviar Kaspia is known for a menu that boasts eight varieties of farm-raised caviar from around the globe, alongside its celebrated baked potato dish. But the culinary delights don’t stop at caviar. The fresh summer truffle pizza, alongside the grilled beef tenderloin, Kaspia Martini, and black truffle caviar potato for vegetarians, are also staples on the menu. The Mark’s owner, Izak Senbahar, a regular at Paris’ Caviar Kaspia in the 8th arrondissement, felt compelled to bring the restaurant to his hotel. “Caviar Kaspia is my favorite restaurant in Paris, so when a retail space became available at The Mark, I called Ramon Mac-Crohon, Caviar Kaspia’s owner. We quickly realized the synergies between our brands and put the deal together,” he explained. Since its New York inception, Caviar Kaspia has partnered with Better World Fragrance House and recently introduced the Caviar Kaspia Poke Bowl to its lunch menu. Constantly innovating, the restaurant continues to expand its appeal, inviting a wider audience to savor its fine dining experience.
