Bethann Hardison’s “Invisible Beauty” Doc Launches
On September 15th, Bethann Hardison, an industry pioneer, premiered her new documentary, ‘Invisible Beauty.’ The documentary delves into her life and illustrious career, tracing her journey from a Brooklyn upbringing to her career boom in the 70s, including her pivotal role at the 1973 Battle of Versailles fashion show, and continuing through to the present day. Hardison is celebrated for her activism as the first Black woman to own a racially diverse modeling agency and she fearlessly called out fashion brands worldwide for their lack of diversity in their shows. Eventually, her remarkable contributions to the fashion world were acknowledged with numerous accolades, notably the 2014 Council of Fashion Designers of America Founders Award. Sarah Jessica Parker To Host The ‘23 CFDA Awards
Sarah Jessica Parker, also known as SJP, is set to host the 2023 CFDA Fashion Awards, presented by Amazon Fashion. This prestigious event is scheduled for November 6th at the American Museum of Natural History. Sarah Jessica Parker herself was the recipient of the Fashion Icon award at the 2004 CFDA Fashion Awards, lauded for her quintessential New York style. Beyond her role as a fashion icon, SJP is a multi-talented entrepreneur. She established the SJP Collection footwear brand in 2014, ventured into the beauty industry with SJP Beauty, and operates a flagship footwear boutique located at 385 Bleecker Street in the heart of New York City. Valentino Garavani Will Take Home The Outstanding Achievement Prize at The Fashion Awards
