Jamaica has long produced the faces that bring the heat to the international runway scene. Expats Tami Williams, Naki Depass, Kai Newman, and Barbra-Lee Grant have established their careers as mainstays on the billboards, runways and magazine pages of fashion’s finest. Yet this past year a plot twist emerged – the men from JA have been dominating the modeling industry with rookie names like Romaine Dixon, Kimali Morgan, and Jonny Brown bringing glory to their homeland with big advertisements with Dior, Balenciaga, and McQ. Saint International invited us to meet these top talents along with their female counterparts to see if the country is continuing its legacy of scouting the stars of the moment. Captured by Models.com fav, photographer Melodie Jeng, we shot the high ranking and rookie faces that the Jamaican model machine continues to churn out.
