VS angels can’t help but be sexy, the moment the music starts and the lights go on they are there to bring good ol’ fashioned seductiveness back to the runways. Before that all happens though, there is the calm before the storm. The moments when they’re just carefree girls getting ready to do the one show that lets them share their beauty with millions of viewers. So happy to see Sui He do the show, she’s such a natural beauty .
My highlights:
– Karlie closing the show when it’s her first time, and she’s amazing.
– Sui He, Anais Mali, Bregje Heinen, Jablonskis, Caroline BN.
– Caroline Winberg and Julia Stegner being there every year without being an angel. THEY SHOULD BE THOUGH.
– Kanye performing!
– My fave Angels Doutzen and Lindsay!

Love the new faces but miss Rosie and Abby Lee.
Too many little girls like caroline brasch in the show, they need more mature models like Edita V.
i love the fact that they hire more than 1 asian models…and sui he is a good choice of asian model…love..love..love..:)

Billy Rood is a photographer to watch! His work, whether in backstage candids, editorials, or simple model tests, always captures the essence of the models. His work is emotive, simple, elegant without pretension. These shots are so much better than what was captured on stage.

Well well well, that time of year again.. Firstly I must say i’m glad they hired the likes of Joan Smalls, Bregje Heinen, Cameron Russell, Jessica Clarke, Toni Garrn and Anais Mali, they are all great additions to VS. I was shocked and disappointed to see Karlie Kloss, Jacqueline Jablonski and Karmen Pedaru in the show, as I don’t find any of those three girls mildly attractive or sexy by no means. Great to see some of last years successful newbies like Constance, Magdalena and Lily return for another year. Of course the Angels are always fabulous, but I really did miss Rosie!! She was the sexiest of them all!!! I would have loved to see some more traditionally “sexy” models, like Brooklyn Decker, Julie Ordon or Jessica Hart, cast in the show, amidst all the more “high fashion” ones, the balance was a bit off this year. Unfortunately my favourites Abbey Lee Kershaw, Jessica Stam and Natasha Poly did not return 🙁 I was also really hoping that Gracie Carvalho, who debuted last year, would have been cast as I saw some potential angel-ness in her. Next year I would love to see Behati open the show! Since Rosie’s going she is now my favourite angel and I love her natural, aesthetic, unapologetic beauty. Candice, Anja and Maryna fulfilled my “blonde bombshell” dosage for the year. Where is Ana Beatriz Barros? x
Whoever cast Karlie Kloss and Jacqueline Jablonski in this show must have had something slipped in their coffee! They are horrid.

Personally not a super fan of the show… but if I had no doubts about Karlie and Toni in such a context (both for their bodies and femininity, and Karlie for her amazing attitude), Caroline (even if @ VSPink) certainly surprised me – and btw I’d like to express a personal WOW for Bregje, fabulous as usual…

Karlie doesn’t do it for me, nor does Jacqueline Jablonski.. other than that a great cast with some great surprises like Bregje Heinen and Jessica Clarke! xx
I missed my two favourite models though, being Abbey Lee Kershaw and Jessica Stam.
I’ve seen videos and images and lets just say that Joan Smalls is the best thing VS could’ve done. i’ve always know who she is but didnt take notice of her until I saw her images and videos from the VS show. She would be the perfect new angel! She’s not a little girl, she’s possibly the biggest model at the moment, she’s high fashion and she offers diversity as the only hispanic (non-brazilian). This should be an easy decision for VS and her agency.
And yes i miss Rosie too!!
not sure about karlie. in high fashion she’s amazing and just perfect for it but vs… doesn’t she only lacks breasts but she has also no hips, even her face might not be suited for the show. everything else was dazzling as usual 🙂

im not surprised sui he is chosen for vs (she looks more like beauty pageant contestant than HF model to me anyway) but im so glad liu wen is still chosen to walk vs show (though i wish she had 2 outfit), im happy doutzen is back <3 and im liking candice and erin more and more ^^

Joan Smalls shut it down at VS this year. No competition when it comes to the newbies. She is on her way to becoming THE biggest black model since Naomi Campbell. Could you imagine if she had contracts for both Estee Lauder & VS at the same time?!?! Not to mention campaigns for Chanel, Gucci, Cavalli, Stella & Givenchy. She is gonna be everywhere you look. On your TV, in magazines, on the runway- EVERYWHERE!!!
As for Karlie, I think she will become an angel, but the general public won’t like her, just like they don’t like Chanel Iman
Based on the pictures, I agree that Karlie may not have shined. I think she’s currently under weight.
Candice looked amazing..as always.
Joan Smalls is my new obsession. I will be watching on the 29th to see her strut the VS runway.
Sui He was a good choice.
I’m kinda ready for VS to wipe the slate clean & have an almost completely new angel lineup. As much as I love Adriana, Miranda & Allesandra, I think they have done all they can possibly do for the company. Their time is up. I would keep Doutzen & Candice because I don’t think they are done yet. As far as the baby angels- BYE.
So my lineup would be: Doutzen Kroes, Candice Swanepoel, Joan Smalls, Lais Ribeiro, Cameron Russell, Liu Wen, & I guess Karlie Kloss for Pink
I think Doutzen, Joan, Lais & Candice would bring back the VS energy of 2005. Cameron & Karlie would be the best spokesmodels for the brand, & Liu would be a great choice for the expansion in the Asian market.
Give Doutzen the fantasy bra the next time!!!!!

I like that Joan Smalls can appeal to the black market and the latino market. She seemed to do a lot of interviews with spanish media for the VS show. Was she the only spanish speaking model in the show???

Doutzen Kroes is perfection…what a face, what a body…wowowowww
Doutzen and Candice, WOW they are the Angel stand outs now. Adriana and Alessandra are like Tyra/Heidi these days. They are famous VS angels made a lot of money and have done all they can do for the brand, we’ve seen it all, nothing new. Miranda is ok but always looked too young for my taste. I like sexy models in lingerie, not cute ones.
Most are pretty average looking.

the show was just OK, I missed magdalena why they didn’t let her walk the show?? last year she was for me one of the most outstanding models her attitude, pose and walt hmm… and all the mature, sexy and confident models were somehow not there…
WHERE THE HELL IS KAROLINA KURKOVA? SHE WAS DEFINITELY THE MOST OUTSTANDING ANGEL. COULDN´T TAKE MY EYES OFF HER AMAZING LONG LEGS AS SHE WALKED DOWN THAT RUNWAY. SHE CARRIED THE BIGGEST WINGS ALWAYS. AMAZING KK SHOULD BE CALLED AGAIN!

Seeing this year’s production makes me realize how good the 2010 show actually was. This year’s outfits (and especially music) are bummers for me. The only good thing are the newbies – so amazing choices (TONI GARRN! – I was rooting for that girl to get it last year). But I missed my fav Edita though =(
Hello everyone,
I love, really love those girls, but only for high fashion. I would like to see Eniko, KK, Abbey Lee, Natasha, Selita, Ana B, Stam, Isabeli, Edita, Magdalena and Rosie for the catwalk, but apparently they are out of cast and they are so gorgeous and sexy, and that’s what I think that VS is about.
I’m only in the hope that next year’s show these girls will be, because if they’re not, I don’t know what is going to be the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. D:
Sorry if I was misunderstood in my last post, I’m only referring to the new faces when I say that they only work for high fashion, the classic ones are outstanding and gorgeous, by the way, I’ve looked some commentaries and I only have to say that I couldn’t agree more for Emily DiDonato replace Adriana Lima, even I’m loving her so much(my favorite angel ever) she will be replaced someday. Also, I’d like to say that Candice and Erin are the only angels that I agree, because the other girls I don’t think that they work.
i think abbey had a conflict with the versace show. i like that they didnt include older models like jessica stam, karolina, isabelli…there’s a new crop of top models and supermodels like karmen pedaru, joan smalls, toni garn and some others. i love most of the new girls but joan takes it for me.
