Kenzo S/S 2016

Posted by models.com | October 5th, 2015

An impactful Spring Summer collection from Kenzo hit the runway yesterday. Humberto Leon & Carol Lim’s vision of exotic sensibility was made kinetic by the brand’s deft pattern play and use of white space, creating an all-out airy collision of very-Kenzo colors. The girls were sent down in jaunty relaxed dresses, thigh-high gladiator sandals, and papercut tops. So much motley play is always precarious but the result was a trenchant assortment of elated design work à la Lim and Leon. Behind the scenes, beauty was smartly pared back. On models like Alice Metza (opened), Marjan Jonkman, Molly Bair and Greta Varlese (closed), hair was slick and skin stayed neutral. All of the emphasis was on that red lip, just to dot the i’s of an already punchy collection, really.
