Stefano Gabbana Steps Down as Chairman at Dolce & Gabbana
After much speculation, it has been confirmed that Stefano Gabbana, co-founder of Dolce & Gabbana, has stepped down from his role as chairman of the Italian fashion house and its controlling holding company. The group stated that “the resignations have no impact on the creative activities carried out for the group by Stefano Gabbana.” Chief Executive Alfonso Dolce, the brother of co-founder Domenico Dolce, has been appointed as the new chair, according to a company filing with the Milan Chamber of Commerce. The company’s lenders are seeking a cash injection of up to 150 million euros as part of a broader 450 million euro ($526 million) debt refinancing. [Reuters]

Dior Heads to LA for Cruise 2027 Show
Dior has revealed the venue for Jonathan Anderson debut cruise 2027 show, set to take place in Los Angeles on May 13. The collection will be presented at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, against the backdrop of its new wing designed by Pritzker Prize–winning Swiss architect Peter Zumthor. Luxury brands continue to focus on the US market, with Gucci and Louis Vuitton set to unveil their cruise 2027 collections in New York City on May 16 and May 20, respectively. [WWD]

The 2026 Fashion Trust U.S Award Winners
Fashion Trust U.S., the nonprofit dedicated to supporting U.S.-based design talent, revealed its 2026 winners at its fourth annual awards ceremony in Los Angeles on Tuesday night. Hosted by comedian and actress Ego Nwodim at Nya Studios, Tory Burch was named Designer of the Year, while Michèle Lamy received the Lifetime Achievement Award. The Ready-to-Wear Award went to Zane Li of Lii. Marcelle Barbosa of Amaramara, a graduate of Parsons School of Design at The New School, received the Graduate Award. The Accessories Award went to Andrea Marron, while Mexican fine jewelry designer Josefina Baillères, took home the Jewelry Award. The Sustainability Award was awarded to Maxwell Osborne and Kristy Chen of anOnlyChild. In partnership with Type One Ventures, Deborah Won of Pisces Rising received the Future Form Award.

Chiho Omae Tapped as Global Creative Makeup Artist at Merit
MERIT Beauty has appointed Chiho Omae as Global Creative Makeup Artist. Ethan James Green Hosts Giulio Noccesi’s First Solo Show in New York
Ethan James Green is hosting artist Giulio Noccesi’s first solo exhibition at his gallery, New York Life Gallery. “I was initially drawn to his work because of the world he creates, with an original approach to figuration set against Italian landscapes,” Green said. “Giulio is an artist who looks to history while creating something new.” The exhibition is on view through May 22 at 167–169 Canal St, 5th Floor, New York.
