G-Star Raw Taps Rushemy Botter and Lisi Herrebrugh as Creative Directors
G-Star Raw has appointed Botter co-founders Lisi Herrebrugh & Rushemy Botter as its first creative directors since 2018. The duo’s debut collection will be presented at Paris Fashion Week next January. Having grown up near the Dutch capital, the founders said, “[G-Star was] always this pride of Holland. So being now part of that makes us very proud.” This change comes two years after G-Star Raw was acquired by WHP Global, which also manages brands like Bonobos and Rag & Bone. The designers founded their Botter label in 2017 and quickly gained recognition as LVMH Prize finalists in 2018. They went on to join Nina Ricci, where they served as creative directors from 2018 to 2022. [BoF]
Fendi Goes Co-ed
Building on the success of its Fall 2025 co-ed show in February, Fendi is sticking with the winning formula. The Italian house will skip the menswear portion Milan Fashion Week in June, opting instead to unveil a co-ed runway show in September. Silvia Venturini Fendi, the creative force behind the accessories and menswear collections, will take the reins once again, though the exact date and location remain under wraps for now. Milan Fashion Week is set to run from September 23rd to 29th. Meanwhile, speculation continues to swirl around the question of who will step into the shoes of Kim Jones, who exited as Fendi’s artistic director of haute couture, ready-to-wear, and fur collections for women after a successful four-year tenure in October. Quannah ChasingHorse Speaks at the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues
Quannah ChasingHorse continues to shed light on climate and land issues affecting Indigenous communities. Last week, she was invited as a special guest to the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues in New York City, where she spoke about these critical topics. As part of the Gwich’in Steering Committee delegation, ChasingHorse shared her personal connection: “What brought me to the UN was my responsibility as a daughter, granddaughter, and future ancestor of Gwich’in. I’ve grown up watching my mother and grandmother fight to protect our sacred lands, and I carry that responsibility forward. I came to the UN because Indigenous voices belong in these spaces—because for too long, we’ve been silenced or pushed aside.” In addition to her advocacy, ChasingHorse used her platform to highlight Indigenous design, wearing a mix of traditional and contemporary pieces. According to Vogue, these included a custom ribbon skirt by her auntie and best friend, Melissa Charlie and Trenity Washington; wrap-style moccasins crafted by her grandmother, Adeline Juneby-Potts; a geometric and floral belt from Nicole Paskemin Creations; and a moose hide vest made by her auntie, Princess Daazhraii Johnson, featuring red velvet fabric and beaded flowers. Lyst’s Hottest Brands of Q1 2025
The Lyst hottest brands of Q1 2025 are here, and Loewe has once again claimed the top spot, surpassing Miu Miu. This impressive leap follows a 38 percent spike in searches, driven by the buzz surrounding Jonathan Anderson’s departure as creative director. Anderson, is set to debut his first collection for Dior Men on June 27th during Paris Men’s Fashion Week. Loewe’s rise isn’t a one-off; the brand previously dominated the rankings in spring 2024, after Luca Guadagnino’s Challengers showcased costumes by Anderson, along with a press tour featuring Loewe’s designs. The top five brands this quarter were Loewe, Miu Miu, Saint Laurent, Coach, and Prada, with new names like Coach, COS, Ralph Lauren, and On making their mark. With 160 million annual active users, Lyst has big news of its own—earlier this month, the platform entered a definitive agreement to be acquired by Zozo Inc., the Japanese fashion e-commerce giant, for $154 million.
