Steven Meisel x Zara Collection Is a Love Letter to New York

After years of capturing the biggest stars and models through his lens, the esteemed enigma that is Steven Meisel has ventured into uncharted territory, teaming up with Zara to curate a collection that seamlessly integrates his signature style into a monochromatic, seductive line of unisex apparel. Dubbed ‘Steven Meisel New York,’ the collection pays homage to the photographer’s beloved hometown. The collection features a variety of items including laced-up trousers, a leather jacket, a beanie, a graphic tee shirt, a clutch, an overcoat, a scarf bearing Steven Meisel’s name, a trapper hat, leather boots, a vest, and more, with prices ranging from $27.90 to $439. Drawing inspiration from both the realms of music and fashion, as well as Meisel’s early days as a fashion illustrator, the collection stands as a testament to his multifaceted artistry.

To complement the collection, Meisel has created portraits of 26 of the most recognizable names in modeling. The impressive lineup features his muse and close friend, Linda Evangelista, and other renowned models such as Amber Valletta, Liya Kebede, Irina Shayk, Gigi Hadid, Sora Choi, Kaia Gerber, Penelope Tree, Eva Herzigova, Alton Mason, Ash Stymest, Scott Barnhill and more. The photographer also enlisted the collaboration of his longtime creative partners, stylist Karl Templer, makeup virtuoso Pat McGrath, and hair maestro Guido Palau for the project. The Zara x Steven Meisel New York collection will be available on September 18th, accessible through Zara.com and select stores. Additionally, it will be featured in pop-up stores on 33 Howard Street in Soho from September 9th to the 13th, followed by a stint at Dover Street Market London from September 15th to the 17th.
