Rabanne Beauty Launches With Diane Kendall As Creative Director
Rabanne Beauty has introduced a gender-neutral makeup collection encompassing a diverse array of colors and textures. The collection spans from mascaras, lipsticks, and lip balms to eyeshadow palettes inspired by handbags, available in two sizes and an extensive selection of 30 foundation shades. Leading the creative direction for the brand is Diane Kendal, who shared, “The nice thing about the products is that they’re very interchangeable. You can mix them, and there’s a lot to play with. There’s definitely that playfulness, that avant-garde spirit and a little bit of sophistication while still being playful and young.” Every piece within the Rabanne Beauty collection resonates with the iconic metal accents and distinctive silhouettes that resemble signature pieces at the fashion house, seamlessly translating into both the packaging and the product design. Marc Jacobs Beauty Is Coming
Marc Jacobs Beauty is making a comeback through a strategic partnership with Coty under a new licensing deal. Originally introduced in 2013 by Kendo, in collaboration with LVMH and Sephora’s beauty incubator, Marc Jacobs Beauty enjoyed a successful run until its discontinuation in 2021. Coty’s CEO, Sue Nabi, has unveiled plans for the brand’s revival within the next two to three years. She said, “There is a great opportunity, and this will add to our prestige color cosmetics growth engine next to Gucci makeup, next to Burberry makeup, next to Kylie Cosmetics.” Notably, Coty has nurtured the Marc Jacobs fragrance license for nearly two decades, achieving sales success, especially with its Daisy product line. Carla Sozzani To Collaborate With Dover Street Market For Paris Opening
Dover Street Market is set to open its Paris branch in March in collaboration with Italian retail visionary Carla Sozzani. Under the leadership of founders Adrian Joffe and Rei Kawakubo, a new concept is being created in the Marais district’s 35-37 Rue des Francs-Bourgeois. The Paris store’s specifics are under wraps, but the opening coincides with Dover Street Market’s 20th anniversary, promising a reinvented experience. Carla Sozzani, recognized for her pioneering work in conceptual retail, will lend her expertise to the project. She notably founded Milan’s 10 Corso Como, an establishment seamlessly blending fashion, cuisine, art, music, design, and lifestyle. Despite her departure from the business, which is now overseen by Tiziana Fausti, Sozzani’s legacy remains. Beyond her retail endeavors, Sozzani holds the position of President at the Azzedine Alaïa Foundation and presides over the Fondazione Sozzani, established in 2016 in honor of her late sister, Franca Sozzani to nurture arts and culture through curated exhibitions and events.
