The #PFW Affair Continues
The last week of fashion month is here and to start off the events, Kenneth Ize debuted his SS22 show on Monday, while Marine Serre held a viewing of her film Ostal 24 to showcase her collection. Ottolinger, Koche, and Saint Laurent were amongst the many designers who chose to present physical shows. To celebrate his 10th anniversary Olivier Rousteing had a fashion festival, headlined by Doja Cat, to celebrate his decade at Balmain with a return of the OG supermodels Naomi Campbell, Carla Bruni, Nadège Dubospertus, and Milla Jovovich, while his fellow Virgo and collaborator Beyonce gave a heartfelt voice-over as the models strutted with utter confidence. Stella McCartney announced that she will also join the packed #PFW calendar and showcase a live show on October 4th, with the week officially ending on October 5th with AZ Factory’s tribute to their late founder, Alber Elbaz. 44 designers including Rei Kawakubo, Daniel Roseberry of Schiaparelli, Thebe Magugu, Guo Pei, and Christopher John Rogers were selected to design pieces for the tribute show. Matthew Brookes Exhibit “Togetherness” Opens In Paris
British photographer Matthew Brookes’s new exhibition “Togetherness” rolls out today at La Caserne, 12 Rue Philippe de Girard 10e in Paris. Brookes focused on showcasing the different expressions of love and togetherness by casting locals in Venice Beach, CA for the heartwarming series. “I think that the world is missing so much, is that feeling of connection. So many of us have either been separated or lost people close to us and we are all longing for that feeling of personal connection and togetherness” said Matthew Brookes. All the proceeds of the exhibit will be directed to the nonprofit organization Safe Place For Youth, which empowers young people experiencing homelessness.
