Model La’Shaunae Wins Dazed 100
Dazed Magazine’s Dazed 100 is the annual voter-ranked list of individuals the editorial team deemed most influential or of the moment. For 2019, it was announced that model La’Shaunae took the top spot, joining the previous years’ winners Holland, Finn Wolfhard, Troye Sivan and others. The 23-year-old, whose Instagram handle is @luhshawnay, is unapologetically pushing for representation of plus-sized black women through her platform and furthering the conversation of size-inclusivity in design. Second place is YouTube star ContraPoints.


Dao-Yi Chow of Public School Tapped for Sergio Tacchini
The co-founder of Public School, Dao-Yi Chow, is to helm the relaunch of the sportswear brand Sergio Tacchini as its new creative director. In a release, Chow said of his new involvement with the brand: “I fell in love with tennis at an early age and now having the opportunity to reimagine Sergio Tacchini into a modern lifestyle brand is a dream come true.” The first collection under Chow’s creative direction will come Spring Summer 2020. Lady Gaga Launches Her Own Beauty Brand
Gaga has joined the billion dollar beauty gold rush, introducing us to her Haus Laboratories this week. With its first imagery released over social media, the brand is focusing on a gender-fluid, self-expressive message and is first dropping 3 products RIP Lip Liner, Le Riot Lip Gloss and Glam Attack all-over shimmer powder. Darlings of Karl Lagerfeld Are Making White Shirts for Charity
The late designer’s legacy will undeniably live on for all of fashion. The latest proof is friends of his are participating in a charity-driven tribute that has Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne, Takashi Murakami, Carine Roitfeld and more creating their own renditions of Karl’s signature white shirt. The designs, which will be reproduced 77 times and will sell for 777 euros each––seven being his favorite number––are to be displayed during Paris Fashion Week with all proceeds going to the charity Sauver la Vie, which was supported by Lagerfeld.
