The icy, minimalist offerings of Dior Homme (www.diorhomme.com) smack dab in the middle of the inadvertently kitsch Rodeo Drive? It’s a mind-boggling thought at first but a visit to the label’s Los Angeles store confirms that it’s the Beverly Hills outpost that’s proving to be the most compelling newcomer in LA. As long and narrow as the line’s notoriously restrictive silhouette, the lacquered interior boasts the full spectrum of Dior Homme products. Which makes perfect sense given that Hedi Slimane himself is known to secretly hunker down at the nearby Beverly Hills Hotel to whip a Dior collection or two into shape.
