The trailer for McQueen is here and yes we’re seeing it

Watch: The trailer for the much-anticipated Alexander McQueen biopic, directed by Ian Bonhôte titled just “McQueen” was just released yesterday and it looks very promising. The trailer offers a glimpse of the footage that undertakes unpacking the labyrinthine mystique surrounding the designer’s life before he committed suicide in 2010 at just 40 years old. From London’s East End, McQueen’s controversial and evocative shows and edgy couture quickly established the designer as a forever superstar in the fashion world receiving the British Fashion Awards’ British Designer of the Year title four times. The film is in U.S. theaters on July 13, 2018. Designer documentaries seem to be a 2018 thing considering a Martin Margiela doc was just announced to be released by director Reiner Holzemer. Then there’s that Vivienne Westwood documentary “Westwood: Punk, Icon, Activist” that’s been dismissed by the designer herself for not focusing on Westwood’s activism. Or maybe the manically-controlled microcosms designers encapsulate themselves in just make for fascinating studies.
