Daria...Face Of Today...That's quite some endorsement in the new issue of Italian Vogue, placing this Candian cutie in a category all onto herself. And there's more than ample ammunition for the idea (above and beyond Daria's recently audacious editorials in US Vogue). If the gig as finale Gucci girl in that summary collection by Tom Ford is not enough of as coup, then that enviable fragrance spot is sure to be. Its all about Daria right now it seems.

The case for Karen Elson as a latter day model icon and working legend . 1. The reinvention on that still legendary Italian Vogue cover. 2. The subsequent season of five campaigns ranging from Chanel to Lacroix. 3. The requisite low profile years. 4. S/S04's bumper crop of editorials and campaigns with monthly US Vogue bookings, the stand-out Louis Vuitton image and the YSL fragrance ad. 5.The sure-to-be memorable appearance in the FW04 Prada ads. Add this all up and its clear that Karen is now above the law and mingling with the iconic at No 10 on MDC's Top 15 working legends list.... Speaking of Prada, that was quite a lot of traffic criss-crossing that FW04 set. There was Elson as was previously mentioned as well as that must have Lily Cole/Storm, girl-of-the-minute Gemma/IMG ,favorite Jessica Stam/IMG,show opener Raquel Zimmerman/DNA ,newcomers Marta/Vision, Dovile/IMG and Lydia Hearst/Ford and previous Prada faces Elise/DNA and Kim Peers/Vision.
