On June 20th when MDC exclusively broke the news on the "All About Kate" Sept 03 issue of W, what we weren't tipped off on was the fact that there would be 9 highly collectible covers. Nor were we prepared for Chuck Close's very frontal nudes of Kate. All this from an upscale US fashion publication. If the Fairchild contingent does not get the Award for "Most Audacious September Issue Ever" then there's no justice left in publishing. God bless em again!

There are young agents in LA totally obssesed with this site, so expect your favorite style bible to start testifying about the supercool community being built up at friendster.com. The mysterious site (it's free and NOT currently seeking investors) has been luring some of the film and fashion industries' most influential young players interested in on-line mixing and mingling. We could name names (OK...The Hilton Sisters as a giveaway) but that would just be as tease as membership in the site is by invitation only. How very "VIP edition of The Sims".
