ugh I don’t understand why people wanna see toothpick thin girls in shows

  2. lee says:

ok this is just ridiculous. i can understand really skinny for the clothes sake, but wow. this girl looks plain unhealthy. i find myself so completely fixated on how emaciated she looks that i cant watch her walk let alone could i pay attention to any clothes. and this is coming from someone who is usually on the other side.

  3. russabella says:

regular blah catwalk. Ce n’est pas le sel de la saison, def.

  4. James Gerrard says:

looks like Flo Genaro…where is she from?

  5. jockd says:

    she is pretty.

  6. Madison says:

Lee, I wholly agree with you. How far can it go?

  7. k says:

    noooo thankyou.

  8. yes says:

This reminds me of The Ring

  9. bee-bop says:

Agreed with Lee and Madison. Holey moley skinny. Also, she’s just walking on a roof (albeit yes, seems like it could go on a runway). But seriously, how amazed are we supposed to be with this?

  10. LD says:

Agree with her being too skinny. “Expect the strongest of reactions”? It seems like Models.com put this up to stir up some controversy. How can you not see that she looks unhealthy? They should be ashamed of themselves.

I don’t understand why tall girls with amazing proportions feel the need to be stick skinny. When I first saw this, I had to watch it a few times just to figure out if she has a great walk; I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s impossible to tell because she looks like a skeleton. I understand that some girls are naturally skinny, but if that’s the case here then she needs to get some help cause she definitely doesn’t look healthy.

  11. JACINTA says:

what happened to the years where models where sexy – i’m not talking all VS style. But seriously the industry has gone to far with the 14yr old model – under weight look. Its wrong and its not something a women warms to. IT cold unforgiving and sends shivers down your spine to know how much pain some of these young girls go to – to stay that skinny or maintain a 14yr old body….

  12. Mango says:

    She is too skinny.

  13. uh huh says:

some articles on this website are just pure comedy gold

  14. Samira says:

    She’s with Supreme ? Wow,
    http://allaboutmodels.blogspot.com/

  15. wendy-kristy says:

    Agree!!She is too skinny…:-(

  16. cellero says:

she is beautiful….a pure perl….mr.lee, madison and all the others…go and watcj some FHM babes…they have enough fat on their ass to fall for…

  17. stacey says:

can’t see past how thin she is.

  18. cellero says:

Hi Dafne…contact cellerosvision.com …we can always give you a job…and do not care about people saying that you are too skinny…you are a true beauty

  19. Taylor says:

It’s her elbows that bother me the rest of her looks fine but you can tell that her frame isnt that small because of her elbows, they are way to sharp when they should be smooth. from behind she looks fine. Anyways the walk is odd it’s not the best she swings one arm more than the other I do like her leg work however. give her some strong music and she could be fierce.

  20. G.NataN says:

Very good she’s walk, but in the end she opending so much….

  21. Antonio Barros says:
  22. Aurora Crowley says:

I think most of the reason she looks “too” skinny is
the video “aspect ratio” is wrong.

In other words “technically” the video stretched her vertically making her a look too skinny.

    Supreme Rocks!

  23. FabFash says:

Always amazed at the armchair doctors coming out with diagnostics on someone’s health based on a photo or video. She is very beautiful, she looks as skinny as a lot of other models.

You should all realize you are talking about a person here, and ignorant negative comments on a teenager’s body just so you can vent your personal frustrations/vendettas is pretty lame. There is no way to tell if she is healthy or not just based on this. eating disorders are a very serious health concern, but I’ve known plenty of healthy teenagers who are very skinny.

  24. Snoberella says:

She’s gorge and has a fierce, take no prisoners kind of walk! And FYI to all you haters…some girls are naturally thin. It doesnt mean she’s sick or starving. This girl has star potential and the word through the grapevine is that she already has some major options. Dafne will be one to watch and you can bet on it.

  25. Mateo Bijoux says:

Wow, Very thin. I mean i have seen better walks. not outstanding sorry. She is no Natasha Polly. But i love the Aliens over at Supreme. Tres Magnifque

  26. crybaby says:

FabFash & Snoberella are absolutely right! Can’t you people tell that this is her natural frame? There are people out there that are genetically thin just like there are people who are genetically heavy. Keep your nasty opinions to yourself, this is a young girl that if ever, god forbid, has any sort of eating disorder it will be because of all the stupid opinions and nasty comments … People can be thin and healthy and thick and healthy. So SHUT UP!

Dafne, you’re a lovely girl and don’t listen to these idiots. Keep it up!

  27. ShanilaB says:

PEOPLE WHO ARE SAYING THAT THIS IS TOO SKINY AND THAT THEY, I QUOTE FROM LD, “don’t understand why tall girls with amazing proportions feel the need to be stick skinny”, THAT IS RUBBISH. MY BODY IS LIKE THIS GIRLS AND IT’S NOT LIKE I TRY AND BE SKINNY. ITS JUST THAT THAT IS THE WAY I AM. I EAT LIKE ANY OTHER PERSON ( PROBABLY EVEN MORE) BUT ITS IN MY GENES THAT THIS IS THE WAY I AM AND THATS ME. I AGREE WITH CRYBABY. NOT EVERYONE WHO IS SKINNY, HAS AN EATING DISORDER. PEOPLE WILL NEVER GET THAT THOUGH.
OH AND TAYLOR, ABOUT THE ELBOWS, THAT SOOOO DOES NOT MEAN SKINNY ISN’T HER NATURAL FRAME COS MY ELBOWS ARE EXACTLY THE SAME BUT THATS MY BUILD. DONT GET IT TWISTED.

  28. mark says:

Some of the comments are so stupid. Really stupid. This girl is a model OK. She is skinny yes but I would
not go so far to say she is unhealthy. She looks like she is totally ready for the runway. I mean come on people this is fashion. It is not an all you can eat fiesta week. It is fucking fashion week. Get over yourselves.

  29. // says:

I thought she looked worse from behind. Anyway, I guess the issue here is that she’s too skinny, and whether it’s natural or not, is her own business. But idk, I haven’t ever seen naturally skinny like that..is she like under the age of 14 or something?

  30. Mango says:

@Shanila: I totally feel you. I am extremely skinny and always was ,too and I can’t do anything about it.
Of course I can’t know whether she is normally skinny or not.

  31. Philipa says:

I think the only concern I have is that perhaps yes she is that naturally skinny and it’s all about genetics. Now try and tell that to a girl who doesn’t have those genetics but aims to be that thin. I think by using abnormally thin girls puts normal girl’s at risk because they want to be that thin and in order to be that thin is self-damaging.

  32. Ed says:

There are people who are naturally skinny no matter how much they eat, I am one of them. Although putting skinny models into spotlight might encourage other teenagers to be skinny, it is not fair to assume that all girls will do it unhealthily. And fashion is about fantasy, and those clothes only look good if they are tiny and long.

For you guys who think promoting this image of fashion is not good, then the right thing for you is to boycott fashion. After all, fashion is business and they respond to the majority who are the spenders. Look at how V magazine exploits the over-weight images to make those ‘non-skinny’ people happy. And there is nothing to feel good about being over-weight as well.

  33. bee-bop says:

Hmmm… I came back to read some of the additional comments b/c I was curious. When I said she was “too skinny” it wasn’t a commentary on whether it was natural or not. Honestly, that’s completely irrelevant b/c no one who is buying the clothes and seeing the ad, can know if the girl wearing them eats or doesn’t. The point is that if someone looks “too” skinny, whether they are healthy or not, the fashion industry should NOT pick them to sell clothes. They are selling an image, not a reality, so the reality is irrelevant. Unfortunate, but true in the world of advertising. It’s just the same way that we shouldn’t sell images of girls who look like drug addicts to teenagers. It doesn’t matter if they are actual drug addicts or in fact yoga enthusiasts. The point is that you are glorifying an image that is detrimental to the conscious of society. People don’t know the reality of what is behind the image, they just try and mimic it.

  34. Eamon says:

    @Ed

While I know what you are saying, you may find that editors, art directors, designers, buyers, merchandisers, stylists, publishers et al have an awful lot of sway in what dictates spenders tastes.

Do you think that if runway models had a little bit more weight on them people would stop spending?

  35. poo says:

I don’t get the too skinny comments for this. She looks okay to me.

  36. danno watts says:

great walk. a tad on the skinny side; here’s to hoping it’s natural and just her genetics!

    rocksteady,
    danno~

  37. Whalen B says:

I wish everyone would get over themselves on the “she’s too skinny” bit… the fashion industry is not the WORLD so stop trying to see your normal everyday person on a catwalk because NORMAL doesn’t sell clothes. Plus she looks perfectly fine, she’s young and her body looks as natural as its suppose to be at her age, some people are just born to do what everyone admires (modeling).

  38. lolita beach says:

Apart from the fact that yes she is INCREDIBLY tiny, be it naturally that thin or not, her walk doesn’t impress me. Watching her walk away tells me she’s not letting herself move naturally because one arm stays entirely still while the other sways to compensate. If she loosens up just a bit, I think her walk would be fabulous.

  39. carola says:

Well she is as skinny as the other models, and I’ve seen thinner than her, what I don’t get is the point of this video being posted here?? If she turns out to be a top show girl we’ll see that soon, and if she doesn’t well maybe next season. I mean even if she had the fiercest walk ever, I don’t see the point of posting it here.. just my two cents.

  40. anna says:

Bee-pop and Philipa got it right! Perception becomes reality and so fashion industry needs to be careful about the perceptions it creates. Anyway, it is complete stupidity, fashion either uses very thin girls or does a “size issue” where they use very big girls. What happened to using normal size 2-6 girls? I am size 2 and tall and I cant starve myself to size 0, but I also cant ever eat so much to be in the heavy camp. No wonder celebrities are popular, at least some of them resemble what an average normal person looks like.

  41. Taylor says:

    @ ShanillaB
I didn’t mean to sound mean or hurtful to anyone and probably could have worded it better.
I just don’t like her elbows.
    Sorry.
I know plenty of people who are naturaly skinny,I know someone who weighs ninety eight pounds and is turning twenty for Christ’s sake. Some people, I agree are just built that way.

  42. Ryo says:

I agree with Taylor, her elbows betray the fact that shouldn’t be that skinny. I also use the shoulder bone too to mark the thinness of a girl.

  43. LD says:

Like Taylor, I didn’t mean to be hurtful or put anyone down about their body. When I first watched this I was just taken aback by how skinny she “looked”. I didn’t consider that the quality of the video might have skewed what her body really looks like. I still think she looks really skinny here (maybe it’s the flowy tank with skinny jeans), but I came across some other pictures of her and see that it probably was just the video.

  44. khrystyna says:

she doesnt know how to walk.nothing special for me!

  45. MM says:

Bet you the clothes drape nicely.

  46. Lani says:

As pretty as she is, she’s scary skinny. Even a lot of top models have more flesh than she does. It’s actually kind of scary :( Hopefully it’s just the video quality!

  47. sandy says:

she has no energy in her walk

    http://www.mode-und-lifestyle.blogspot.com

  48. cellero says:

this girl can’t get any better….so perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  49. Toni K says:

It seems that “Supreme-affect” happened after the video again. They are controversial agency, and as Henry Ford quoted in his days: “It doesn’t matter what they’re talking, as long as they are talking…” With any other agency I couldn’t see anything special, but if this is not walk for Marc, it will be for Rad, at least.

  50. agd says:

if you have no place in the industry you do not understand the devotion of a framed female and male body.

girls are built like this in a young age and exploitation is objective.

they are attacked when lots of girls explode and are viewed together as peg thin muses since they do not exisit in most peoples daily lives.

so we as an audience should be appreciating Dafne and her upcoming achievements, she has the ability to be a muse, an opener, a closer and an editorial phenom.

  51. Marcus says:

This girl is sooo damn skinny! Its sad. But I get how some girls just are built like that even though they eat healthy and all. But still. This is not giving a good image to children etc.
    Therefore, I dislike.

  52. AFRIO says:

So Like this girl is damn skinny…born that way or not I have alot of friends who are born skinny and eat like a car that uses so much gas but still look the same.

As beautiful as she is and she’ll book alot of magazine editorals but in the runway not too sure…she doesn’t have a killer walk or energy of WOWW-NESS with every step she is taking in this video. It looks like a normal walk an average women with no modelling experience can even do better Skinny-slim or just lean.

In Plus size:She’ll have a fantastic career and list of client base.

As an inspirational model for up and coming models or any women (not only women but girls her age 15-20 somethings )who warships fashion model’s body shape and frame ..she’ll be a dangerous pill(goal wise).

Today I don’t really now where fashion editors are going with there stories…you see Vmag showcasing beautiful full bodied woman which is so wonderful, some runways in London had street picked average tall women with tattoos, lean but toned slim body with no modeling experiences at all doing there thing.

I wish the 1980′s and 90′s models were back in the catwalk…it was more fun to watch them rip the way and the clothes drapped wonderfully like a painting. You get to see the vision of what the designer is trying to tell a story or there adventures of there collection. Now a days is so boring but interesting work, colour, textile and so on but still if one model is super super skinny …all you can see is the skinny nice and forget what she is wearing.

  53. AFRIO says:

Not a hater of this girl but the fact is some teenagers who are not built like this girl wouldn’t understand the difference about a designers version or artistic expressionism. So if they decide to become skinny they don’t no when is too much or when to stop dieting if they are not “naturally born like this girl”

  54. gene says:

Hey, you guys maybe she has a super-high metabolism and that coupled with being tall can make a person look like that. Also, I think that those who overtly criticize are just plain jealous.

    Designers just want beautiful hangars.

  55. Camilla says:

So what happens? As long as we support the industry, and this is only going to get worse.
We cant just say: “oh that is horrible, and that is too skinny!” As long as people go to the shows, and as long as we buy the magazines, they people hiring these girls will always blame the industry. (All tough everybody knows they are the ones who make the industry..)
This girl is not to blame, we should all take our stand not just by saying “oh horrible”, but stop supporting!

  56. Marc says:

Can a girls/womans body be more sexy hot and beautiful? For my taste NO!
    She’s absolute perfect!

  57. ShaniliaB says:

PEOPLE DON’T GET THAT SKINNY GIRLS DON’T LIKE BEING SKINNY. I AM SO SELF CONCIOUS THAT I AM SKINNY AND WOULD LOVE TO PUT SOME MORE WEIGHT ON AND FEEL COMFORTABLE IN MY SKIN. BEING A BLACK WOMAN IN SOME CASE IS WORSE AS SKINNY IS LOOKED UPON AS UGLY IN THE AFRICAN SOCIETY AND BIG IS WHAT IS BEAUTIFUL. FOR ME I THINK THE INDUSTRY JUDGES GIRLS TO MUCH IN THEIR BODY SHAPE AND ALL SIZES AND SHAPES SHOULD BE ABLE TO MODEL. FROM SKINNY (NOT ANOREXIC THOUGH) TO CURVY WOMEN (NOT OBSESE).
I AM LEARNING NOW THOUGH THAT THERE’S NOTHING I CAN DO AS IT’S JUST THE WAY I WAS BORN AND THIS WILL ALWAYS BE MY BUILD AND MODELING HAS GIVEN ME SOME CONFIDENCE ABOUT MY BODY AND SHOWN ME THAT EVEN THOUGH I HATE HAVING SKINNY ARMS AND LEGS AND HAVING BEEN CALLED NAMES IN THE PAST, I CAN DO SOMETHING WITH MY SHAPE. TAYLOR YOU DO NOT LIKE ELBOWS LIKE THAT AND NIETHER DO I BUT PLEASSSEE DON’T JUDGE SKINNY GIRLS HARSH AS THEY GET CALLED NAMES JUST LIKE BIGGER PEOPLE TOO.

  58. marc says:

Wow, what a perfect super-skinny dreamgirl! Perfect, hot and supersexy!

  59. lulilove says:

I think that she’s perfect for the job that she does.

  60. Rodrigo says:

    Flo Gennaro is from Argentina

  61. aleksi rusi says:

une kame deshire te bohem model nes do ishte e mudure

  62. Ger says:

Dafne is so incredible, I don’t think she’s skinnier than anybody else, what I think is that her general bone structure is bigger which gives her the unique factor.

  63. eeu says:

    she is so perfecT!

  64. Jasmyn says:

So she may be naturally skinny. So she may have anorexia. And if she does…? Does that somehow equate her to being a horrible person? Its a disease, not a choice. Its no more of a choice than the extreme weight loss that comes with cancer/chemo. And we don’t tell chemo patients that they’re setting a bad example for being too thin. We don’t ban them from having their photos put in published works. Its no different, a disease. If magazines like Harper’s can run a story about unhealthy, obese women like Gabourney Sibidhe and others, why can’t they put photos of a girl who may OR may not be unhealthy? I am pretty sure that letting an obese woman who is 100% unhealthy, probably has an eating disorder, and bashes healthy women because she somehow figures that she is superior because she stuffs herself sick… that’s a lot more hurtful to readers than a little photo. Over 2/3rds of America is overweight or obese. Anorexia? Less than 1% of the nation. Yeah. So obviously, there is more to worry about in that department. Not to mention anorexia is never caused by feeling jealous of underweight models. Its a coping mechanism in result of depression or a traumatic event. Just like looking at photos of corpses doesn’t cause you to kill yourself, you can’t catch anorexia from a photo. And I should know. I had the disease for 10 years before recovering.
