Shay’s craftsmanship has borne some of fashion’s most iconic images with photographers, Mikael Jansson, Craig McDean, Mert & Marcus, Steven Klein, Mario Sorrenti and stylists Karl Templer, Joe McKenna and Marie-Amélie Sauvé.
As one of the most in demand hairstylists in the fashion industry, Shay boasts an impressive roster of clients that include, Prada, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Brioni, MAC, Estee Lauder, and Tiffany and Co.
As a testament to his talents, The Metropolitan Musuem of Art’s Costume Institute commissioned Shay for their annual MET Ball Gala to design custom headpieces. He created work for their 2018 Exhibit, “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination” and most recently in 2020, “About Time: Fashion and Duration.”
The collaborations saw him create custom 3D printed headpieces and intricate wigs, each custom designed and crafted by Shay.
