Ruba Abu-Nimah is an award-winning Creative Director, Design & Experiential Curator, Cultural Editor and currently Brand Creative Director of Moncler.

Abu-Nimah has held lead creative direction titles including Executive Creative Director of Tiffany & Co from of 2021 until Spring 2023, Global Creative Director at Revlon and Shiseido where she lived and worked in Tokyo for two years spearheading the rejuvenation of the 147 year old cosmetics brand.

Her rich visual references have garnered her positions at beauty brands ranging from Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, where she led creative for nearly a decade, La Mer, Smashbox Cosmetics as well as creative consultant on the launch of Pat McGrath’s inaugural namesake cosmetics line.

In 2017 she was announced as the first female Creative Director of Elle Magazine and has contributed as creative consultant and guest contributor to i-D Magazine since 2019.

Known widely for her encyclopaedic passion for art and design, Ruba is regularly commissioned for Special Projects ranging from fine art exhibition curation, design partnerships, editorial content ideation and speaking engagements.

An outspoken advocate for cultural progression and social advocacy, Ruba joined forces with designer Phillip Lim in 2020 to launch “New York. Tougher Than Ever.” designing sold out apparel drops with profits donated to various charities and organisations supporting the fight against social injustice.

Ruba’s passion for typography and composition has afforded her numerous design awards—from James Beard, How Design and Art Directors Club—including the ADC Gold Award for “Ballet” (Steidl, 2012). On an ongoing design basis, Ruba collaborates with publishers such as Steidl and Dashwood Books.
