Sil Bruinsma (Streeters New York) works his magic
School is back in session and for his latest Spring 2016 showing, Thom Browne teaches us all about his artistically crafted garments with a maximalist, Japonerie twist. As always, the beauty stood up to the fashion with mega creations by Sil Bruinsma and Jimmy Paul. Paul created gravity defying pigtails that were made with “tons of Bumble & Bumble classic hair spray and floral wire.” Sil Bruinsma spoke on the makeup as “a take on the Samurai look we did for mens in Paris this June. So very Japan inspired. Pale, pale ivory skin and black lined eyes in MAC Feline. Two horizontal brush strokes for eyebrows, one vertical brush stroke for lips, both in MAC Ebony and Blacktrack. A whisper of a blush on the cheeks in Love Cloud. A Geisha Goth Anime Schoolgirl!”
