With couture season at a close, we’re taking a look back at all the bold beauty looks that hit the runway. From the paired-down, strobing at Viktor & Rolf to the maximalist, rouge pouts at Ulyana Sergeenko to the fairyland, beach waves at Versace there’s been a little bit of something for any beauty lover.
Alexis Mabille
Alexis Mabille celebrated his muses of all ages and sizes in wares that glorified femininity and individual beauty looks that brought out the inner beauty of each model.

Alexandre Vauthier
Sex appeal reigned clear for Alexandre Vauthier and the beauty looks created by Christelle Cocquet & Akki Shirakawa mirrored the mood with copper, heavy-lined eyes and windswept, sultry hair.
Armani Prive
Armani Prive was all about Avatar technicolor, iridescent coloring of pinks, greens, blues, and purples for their Fall couture collection and the beauty team of Roberta Bellazzi and Linda Cantello paired short, dark pixie wigs with smoky gray eyes and fuchsia lips.
Atelier Versace
Donatella Versace normally goes for a rock-and-roll smoky eye but this season’s Versace couture show was surprisingly lighter with shimmering mint eyeshadows and leaf-adorned wavy crowns courtesy of beauty magicians Guido Palau & Pat McGrath.
Chanel
Chanel had sharply cut “wig hats” made by Sam McKnight that accentuated the heavily blushed cheekbones of his girls. Add dramatic brows and matte colored lips in warm, reddish tones courtesy of Tom Pecheux and you had a strong beauty showing.
Christian Dior
Peach-stained, glistening eyes and lips bedecked the Dior woman on the couture runway with super natural, slightly rippling hair. The pure looks created by Guido Palau and Peter Philips fitted perfectly with the dramatic silhouettes of the designs.
Elie Saab
Pure glamour is the essence of Elie Saab and the couturier brought that vision to the beauty looks with gilded cat-eyes and loose romantic waves courtesy of Tom Pecheux that complemented all those crystals and feathers.
Fendi
Karl Lagerfeld marked his 50th anniversary at Fendi by complimenting his “fourrure” collection with slicked coifs and icy-toned, frosted visages created by Peter Philips.

Giambattista Valli
Orange sherbet was the hue added to many models hair by hair master Eugene Souleiman for the Giambattista Valli couture show with perfect skin, top lined eyes, & glossy lips perfected by Val Garland to accentuate the buggy, mod sunglasses.
Jean Paul Gaultier
Breton strips were reinterpreted on the eyes with cobalt eyeliner graphically applied. Messy waves under chapeaus and half-done fishtails were the go-to hairstyles for the show.
Maison Martin Margiela
Each beauty look created by Eugene Souleiman & Pat McGrath was abstractly tailored to each model and the results achieved were artistically maximalist with purposefully seen bobby pins, geometrically painted face masks, and blue paint applied to eyes, lips, and sometimes half the face.

Schiaparelli
With a new designer at the helm, Schiaparelli beauty took a turn with delicately knotted chignons and surreal headpieces, matched with sky-blue, unlined eyes and salmon glossed lips.
Ulyana Sergeenko
For Ulyana Sergeenko’s couture presentation, models either had intricately woven, messy updos or nape chignons adorned with crystal hair nets. Heavily dark dusted lids and red stained lips complemented the looks.
Viktor & Rolf
Beauty was held back with clean skin and center-parted, sleek hair for the extreme couture presentation from Viktor & Rolf which had models literally coming out of the canvas.
