Amanda Murphy gets blushed backstage at Jason Wu
There was a note of refinement running through Jason Wu‘s fall collection and that sophisticated ease carried over into the show’s beauty look. The A-List team of Diane Kendal and Odile Gilbert (Exposure NY) created a look designed to reflect Wu’s tailored runway pieces and the clean, pared down look that has dominated the last few seasons. Kendal began with a thick brow – not unlike the kind favored by models off duty – the thinnest smudge of eyeliner to enhance the natural shape, followed by a creamy selection of browns, roses and pale shimmering pinks. Despite the array of products used the final effect was a study in simplicity and the perfect compliment to Gilbert’s sweeping slightly undone updos.
