Modeling contests are a global phenomenon, every year hundreds of hopefuls try for a shot at fame but only a select few make it to the top of the heap. MDC was on the scene – and the judging panel, this year at VM Model‘s Valentine Supermodel contest, to get the full fresh face experience. Winners of the Valentine Supermodel contest have gone on to score Calvin Klein exclusives, coveted campaigns and of course space in some of the world’s coolest magazines, but when they started they were all complete newbies. Follow this year’s group of lovelies and get a feel for what it’s like to lay it all on the line for a chance at making it.

THE GIRLS

The 12 contestants came from all over Hungary and each brought her own special brand of beauty. Only a few years ago rising star Kate Kondas got her start in this very contest, so judges had their eyes out for personality, poise and the kind of international appeal that can take a girl to the runways of New York, Milan & Paris.

BOOTCAMP

Prior to the event the girls went through a modeling crash course, building their books with fresh photo shoots, perfecting their walks and learning how to work it for the cameras. VM Models director, Balint Petho explains the process in this special clip.
