Nicola Brognano, best known for his Y2K tenure at Blumarine from 2020 to 2023, has been tapped as creative director at 7 For All Mankind. He will make his debut for the label at NYFW in February 2026, which will also mark the first runway show in the brand’s history. Brognano said, “As I step into this exciting and inspiring brand, my goal is to create collections and products that honor the 7 For All Mankind DNA while infusing a confident ease and an of-the-moment attitude, one that complements the brand’s heritage in denim.” The denim label enjoyed a strong run in the 2000s before losing momentum amid shifting ownership and commercial headwinds across its 25-year history. New York Fashion Week to Go Fur-Free by 2026
The Council of Fashion Designers of America, which owns and organizes the Fashion Calendar for New York Fashion Week, announced that it will no longer promote animal fur at any Official NYFW Schedule events, including on its Fashion Calendar, social media channels, and website, in collaboration with Humane World for Animals and Collective Fashion Justice. Beginning in September 2026, the CFDA will no longer permit animal fur in collections shown on the Official NYFW Schedule. This timeline is intended to give designers enough time to adjust their materials and show plans. This policy covers farmed or trapped fur from animals killed specifically for their pelts, including but not limited to mink, fox, rabbit, karakul lamb, chinchilla, coyote, and raccoon dog. An exemption applies only to animal fur obtained by Indigenous communities through traditional subsistence hunting practices. [WWD]
