Mark Thomas made his Mark Howard Thomas debut at Carven in the courtyard of the house’s Paris headquarters, stepping into the role once held by his former boss, Louise Trotter, now at Bottega Veneta. His first collection leaned into femininity and minimalism, drawing inspiration from founder Marie-Louise Carven’s beloved white orchids. Delicate lace-edged slip dresses layered with ease, alongside reimagined bed linens and tablecloths transformed into airy dresses, highlighted the designer’s fresh vision. Outerwear also commanded attention, with statement pieces like an asymmetrical tunic trench and a safari-inspired jacket trimmed with zippers. To capture Carven’s effortless chic nature, casting director Rachel Chandler and Thomas sent the models directly from the venue onto the Parisian streets, with opener Lia Marie Mielke leading the way and Camille Desjardins closing the show, seamlessly linking the maison’s heritage to its modern city edge.
