Michael Rider’s Debut Show For Celine Is Coming
Michael Rider, who began his role as Celine’s new artistic director earlier this year, will debut his first collection in Paris on July 6 at 2:30 p.m. CET. The show is scheduled between Paris Men’s Fashion Week (June 24th–29th) and Paris Couture Week (July 7th–11th). It remains unclear whether Rider’s debut will feature womenswear, menswear, or both, but it marks a significant shift for Celine as the brand returns to a physical runway format. In recent years, Celine’s collections were presented through films directed by Hedi Slimane, the former artistic, creative, and image director, often outside the official fashion week calendar. Celine joins a growing list of fashion houses unveiling collections under new creative leadership in 2025, including Chanel, Givenchy, Tom Ford, Dries Van Noten, Blumarine, Alberta Ferretti, and Bottega Veneta. Document Journal Is Launching a Beauty Biannual
Document Journal is expanding its creative universe with the launch of a biannual beauty spinoff that blends art, science, and culture in its 400-page debut issue. Featuring original cover artwork by Francesco Vezzoli, the issue explores beauty through a profile of biomedical scientist Augustinus Bader, an in-depth look at ancient wellness rituals, and an essay by Donatien Grau—Louvre executive and scholar—who describes beauty as “the achievement of individual conceptuality.” Adding to its appeal is a 40-page photo portfolio by Inez and Vinoodh, capturing 20 creatives from New York’s vibrant downtown scene, alongside a striking cover starring Julianne Moore. Launch events are planned during Paris Fashion Week, with copies hitting newsstands around February 25th. [WWD]
