Louis-Gabriel Nouchi Wins the Andam Fashion Award
LGN Louis-Gabriel Nouchi has been awarded the grand prize of the 2023 edition of the ANDAM Fashion Award. During a ceremony held in the gardens of the Palais-Royal in Paris on Thursday night, it was announced that Nouchi would receive €300,000 and a year of coaching from Chloé’s CEO, Riccardo Bellini. Nouchi has expressed his intention to hire new staff, provide promotions to existing employees, and concentrate on marketing efforts and redesigning the e-commerce site. Ester Manas and Duran Lantink have both been granted the Special Prize, entitling each of them to a cash reward of €100,000 and coaching from Frédéric Maus, the general director of Première Classe organizer WSN Développement. Arthur Avellano’s Avellano has won the Pierre Bergé Prize, which focuses on supporting young French companies and comes with a value of €100,000. [WWD]

Supermodel Naomi Campbell has become a mother of two. Yesterday, Campbell took to Instagram to announce the birth of her baby boy, saying, “My little darling, know that you are cherished beyond measure and surrounded by love from the moment you graced us with your presence. Phoebe Philo’s Debut Collection Is Coming
The debut collection of Phoebe Philo‘s eponymous brand will showcase a range of ready-to-wear, leather goods, jewelry, eyewear, and footwear. With over 150 styles, the collection is scheduled for release in September and will be exclusively available through a dedicated online store, currently offering to ship to the UK, Europe, and the US. Additionally, it has been revealed that Philo has chosen her longtime muse, Daria Werbowy, to serve as the face of the brand. Werbowy has previously been featured in numerous campaigns for Celine. Kering x Creed Acquisition
Kering Beauté, in a significant move, has made its first-ever acquisition by obtaining luxury fragrance brand Creed, which is controlled by BlackRock Long Term Private Capital Europe. While the financial terms of the all-cash transaction were not disclosed publicly, industry sources estimate it to be around $1.5 billion. Creed will join the ranks of other prestigious perfume brands in Kering Beauté’s portfolio, which includes Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, Pomellato, and Qeelin. According to WWD, “Kering Beauté intends to preserve Creed’s rich heritage and luxurious brand image, while also exploring its full potential across various markets, channels, and categories. This includes a focus on expanding in China and travel retail, as well as further enhancing their feminine fragrance offerings and venturing into body and home categories.” [WWD]

Paco Rabanne Rebrands to Rabanne and Launches Makeup Line
Paco Rabanne is undergoing an expansion and rebranding strategy, transitioning to the name Rabanne. As a fashion and fragrance house owned by Puig, it is now venturing into the makeup sector. The brand will kickstart this new endeavor with the flagship boutique in New York City, gradually implementing the new visual branding across its diverse product lines and retail spaces. According to José Manuel Albesa, the President of Puig Beauty and Fashion, “There’s been an elevation of the brand and a feminization of the brand. It’s been a lot of work these last five years.” This transformation has been the result of years of diligent effort. To lead Rabanne’s global beauty division, Diane Kendal has been appointed as the Creative Director. The makeup line itself is gender-neutral and commitment to being vegan and cruelty-free. It includes a range of products such as foundation, eyeshadow, and lipstick. [WWD]
