Burberry Is On The Hunt For a New CCO, Peter Do Expands to Menswear, and more of the news you missed

Burberry Is On The Hunt For New Creative Direction
From the looks of it, Burberry is keeping its chief creative role options open and is speaking to designers to potentially replace chief creative officer Riccardo Tisci, whose contract expires in 2023. According to industry insider sources, one of those potential designers is Daniel Lee, who left the helm of Kering-owned Bottega Veneta last year. On Wednesday, Burberry said, “it does not comment on speculation.” Tisci took on the CCO role five years ago and has helped increase the brand’s social media presence and expanded the footwear, outerwear, and men’s tailoring departments. Although, the British luxury company hired Jonathan Akeroyd as the new CEO, who has plans to go over his new strategy, which could include new creative talents for the company. [WWD]

Condé Nast to Shut Down Allure’s Print Edition
Another one bites the dust. Condé Nast’s beauty publication Allure Magazine will be ceasing its print edition at the end of the year and going completely digital, with December 2022 being the final issue. EIC Jessica Cruel said on Instagram, “Our brand is stronger than ever across social and digital, and our success is testament to our collaboration as a team, and because we know just how and where our audience is accessing content in today’s ever-changing landscape, it’s our mission to meet the audience where they are.” [WWD]
