Coach Cancels Destruction of Goods Policy After TikTok Goes Viral
Known as @TheTrashWalker, influencer and waste consultant Anna Sacks’ TikTok went viral with her unboxing video on damaged Coach goods she bought from a dumpster diver. Sacks said in the TikTok with over 600K views, “As you can see, they’re all slashed, which is Coach’s policy. This is what they do with unwanted merchandise. They order an employee to deliberately slash it so no one can use it. Then they write it off as a tax write-off, under the same tax loophole as if it were accidentally destroyed.” Coach responded on Monday that they have officially “ceased” their policy of damaging merchandise and also stated, “that most of its damaged products that are destroyed represent only about 1% of its units globally.” [WWD]

Olivier Rousteing Shares His Road to Recovery From Fire Burns
Coming off his 10th year anniversary at Balmain, Olivier Rousteing shared that last October the designer suffered critical burns after his fireplace unfortunately exploded. Rousteing took to Instagram to share the trauma he faced and wrote an empathetic thank-you note to the doctors who took care of him during the ordeal. Rousteing said, “Today, I feel so free, so good, and so lucky. I’m beginning a new chapter with a smile on my face and a heart full of gratitude.” [Vogue]

Master of Collaborations, Kim Jones is possibly unleashing his better together philosophy further on Fendi, fresh off a much-hyped about Fendace mashup, with a newly rumored collaboration with the shapewear brand founded by Kim Kardashian West, Skims. Under artistic director Jones’ helm, speculation first sparked when the Roman house invited Kardashian West to the company’s headquarters earlier this year at the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana and WWD reports the leaked images, which came accompanied by captions before being deleted suggested a November release, right in time for the holiday season.

New Podcast Recalls The Toxic Nature of Victoria’s Secret
Upon a new rebrand of Victoria’s Secret and the cancelation of Angels, a new podcast, “Fallen Angel” is set to share the details of the often toxic work culture that resided in the corporation. Narrated by journalists Justine Harman and Vanessa Grigoriadis, the series will feature perspectives from former models Erin Heatherton and Angel Bridget Malcolm and their disturbing stories about the lengths taken to meet the company’s size standards. This year, Victoria’s Secret created the VS Collective, a group of ambassadors including Megan Rapinoe, Valentina Sampaio, Eileen Gu, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
