After three long years from any catwalk or magazine page, Kristen McMenamy made her fateful return for Pierpaolo Piccioli‘s Valentino. In a dramatically billowing opening look, the silver-tressed Galadriel set the formidable tone leading the way for a sea of iconic sirens – soon after Mariacarla Boscono, Liu Wen, Saskia de Brauw, Meghan Collison and the current top walkers followed in her wake. Along with the McQueen show that just happened a few moments ago and the Milan S/S 19 season, it seems fashion is looking to the grand dames of modeling for a bit of that runway magic once again.
