The Definitive List of Models of Color that Walked Prada

In past seasons Milanese house Prada, the purveyor of posh and all things covetable, appeared slow to the inevitable trek towards diversity. Miuccia Prada seems to want to change that past perception, including both new and established models of color in her Spring 2019 show last night at the Fondazione Prada space. Casted by Ashley Brokaw the show reflected a sliver of the state of the world, ever-turning and more connected than ever, with 21 models of color revealed in pieces that were equal parts ladylike and sporty.   1. Seems like all the South Asian, Central Asian and Middle Eastern Indian models were not available/died. Polarised diversity is lack of diversity.

  2. Fact: Saint Laurent has been using only one token Asian model for each show since the last decade.
