— What are three interesting facts about you?
1. I am an extremely communicative girl. Since I was little I’ve been uninhibited and so I developed a side of myself where I can be extremely sociable and carry out several conversations with any person.
2. I really like to help others as much as I can… thus doing charity functions for the fight against cancer, for needy children and people who need greater assistance, or even, a kind word.
3. And the other fact is that in my spare time I like to be with people I love, living remarkable moments and getting to know new cultures and places… I always try to be close to people who are good to me and who make me live unforgettable moments.

— What’s a story your family/friends like to tell about you?
My family loves to tell a story about when my mother had a flower shop in my town and I was about 8 years old, I always liked to go to work with her before school and of course, I was always very communicative and wanted to be my mother’s salesperson. I always ran to assist anyone who entered the shop and tried to give my best customer service. And at the end of the day, I had a little box with my name written on it “Harumi’s tips” and I used to tell the customers that any change they put in it would make me happy so that I could buy my things and that everyone would be happier at the end of the day.

— How did you become a model? 
Well I did some modeling jobs in my city and I liked what I was doing… as the years went by I discovered Joy and through The Look of the Year contest 2018 which I participated in Porto Alegre (RS), I started to be a part of Joy’s casting.

— The most interesting thing about your family:
My family name is the weirdest one my friends have ever heard. It’s so uncommon for Ukraine and no one can pronounce it properly the first time. It drove teachers at school crazy when they tried to spell my last name. When I was a child, one of my friends even thought I made it up by myself to look cooler. And I kinda like it ;)

— One thing you never want to do again:
Never going on banana boat rides. It’s the worst thing you can ever try! Please trust me and don’t repeat my mistakes.

— What’s your most prized possession and why?
It sounds weird but it’s my dog. Everyone says you can’t get happiness for money. Yes, you can–by buying a dog or any pet you like. My dog makes me happy every time I come back home. I know she will always love me no matter what. She’s my best friend who I miss every day when I’m far away from home like I am now.

— What are three interesting facts about you?
1. I was born 54.5 cm long and weighing 4.6 kg, the biggest baby in the hospital. They had to run to adapt a cart from the nursery because I wouldn’t fit in any other.
2. I feel bad to the point of fainting when I see a needle and when they take my blood for exams. The curious thing is that I am planning and preparing myself psychologically to donate blood.
3. I learned to swim when I was 3 years old, and when I am diving I feel a very strong connection between me and nature. Among the various professions I have thought of for myself, one of them is Marine Biology. Whether in a pool, beach, or waterfall, wherever there is water I am in. And Brazil gives us all of this for free because it is beautiful.

— An issue or cause you are passionate about:
Actions to combat domestic violence. Because unfortunately I lost an aunt and today I follow the struggle of women not only from my family but from all over the country, seeking to prevent, protect, and welcome women who find themselves in a circle of violence and who many times feel alone. So we are here to help them.

— What’s your most prized possession and why?
My family for always helping me, supporting me, and giving me the base to be who I am today. Without them, I wouldn’t get anywhere.

— How did you become a model?
I became a model by accident. I got offers if I would like to become a model, and after long reflection, I decided to try my hand at it.

— The most interesting thing about your family:
The most interesting thing about my family is my father plays in a punk rock band.

— What are you super interested in that most people have never heard of?
I’m interested in music festivals. I have been taking part in rock concerts for a very long time.

— An issue or cause you are passionate about:
Black Lives Matter and LGBT+ movements.

— What are three interesting facts about you?
1. I am a person who really likes to do things and learn. I used to work with my grandfather in construction. After our house burned down, my grandfather, sister and I built a new one in 3 months.
2. I didn’t dream of becoming a model until I was scouted but now I love my profession very much.
3. I love expressing myself through dancing and braiding—I love making people beautiful with braids.

— The most interesting thing about your family:
My sister is always by my side in everything. As we are both LGBT we only had us.

— Who is your favorite entertainer?
Kwon Ji-yong (G-Dragon ) is someone who I truly admire. His music really tugs at the heartstrings; and the power of his stage performances are very empowering to me. I hope, someday in the near future, I can be someone’s G-Dragon, someone just as or even more empowering to others.

— How did you become a model?
I’ve been wanting to be a model ever since high school. The idea of seeing myself in campaigns, hanging around in a mall just excites me so much! I genuinely enjoy being in the spotlight, drenching myself with all the attention possible. That’s also the reason why I chose fashion performance and styling as my college major; this allows me to further pursue my modeling career. During my sophomore year, I came to Shanghai to finally take my first big step into the modeling world. And, here I am!

— One thing people may be surprised to find out about you:
I usually give out a callous first impression to people whenever I’m not smiling; but when I smile, people’s impression of me takes a 180-degree turn within seconds, for real haha. What a nice smile I got. Thanks, Mom and Dad!
