Brandon Maxwell S/S 2016

Brandon Maxwell’s debut as a designer was an impressive lead-off, considering it was just that–a first. But the collection hit the mark with aplomb amongst an attentive crowd of tastemakers, not surprising considering his connection to Lady Gaga as her longtime stylist. He had their attention, and as an edit of sumptuous gowns and finely-tuned power ensembles, tailored flowingly in ivory and black, made their way down the runway, it was clear the stage had been set and Brandon’s place secured. Stylist William Graper was there to cover the mood for Models.com, speaking to casting director James Scully and Brandon, himself, about who influenced the collection and his vision.
