Band of Outsiders Men’s Spring/Summer 2013 LiveStream

Leave it up to Band of Outsiders—the brand known for its Polaroid lookbooks, Momofuku gift bags, and last year’s West Side Story dance-off at Pitti Uomo—to bring us presentation as durational performance art for its Paris Fashion Week debut. Invitations went out with a manifesto of nine “rules of the Show” attached, dictating the parameters under which a single model will run through the entire Spring 2013 men’s collection while living in a Marais gallery for over sixty hours this week. Rule number five orders the model to spend both his waking and sleeping hours in a “small compartment built from cardboard boxes and wood planks” in the storefront window, although rule number four allows him to leave “presumably to relieve himself every so often.” No word yet on whether he will be given anything more than designer Scott Sternberg’s avowed favorite cookies to eat. Imagine your booker explaining that “exclusive” to you.
