7 Years of W Korea

Magazine milestones are something worth celebrating and W Korea rings in its 7th anniversary in a big way, with a stunning set of collectible covers starring seven of the industry’s brightest stars. Shot by Korea’s premier fashion photographer, Jang Hyun Hong and featuring a host of candy colored Louis Vuitton, the covers are an eye-catching delight fit for spring. The issue also marks the first time a black model graces the cover of W Korea, another important touchstone for the publication.

MDC takes you on set of the gorgeous shoot at Pier 59, with an exclusive look at the process behind the pictures. From candid moments with Hyoni, Hanne, Crystal, Valerija, Anais & Julia to a peek at the team hard at work, experience a birds eye view of a magazine cover shoot as we go behind the editorial.

I do not understand why there is only one Asian model for the celebration of the W Korea anniversary. That does not make any sense. Majority of the models used should have been Asians. Overall, the covers are nice, but I was too focused on why there is only that one Asian model.
