From fantasy novel quotes emblazoned on blouses, to the surrealist coifs adorning each girl and the bold mishmash of fabrics and prints, designers Shane Gabier and Chris Peters created a look fit for an otherworldly muse. The unique combinations and rich colors are sure to resonate with those arty downtown girls who scour vintage stores for kooky classics. Gabier and Peters’ variation on the style comes with the added polish of CFDA Fashion Fund nominees – those strappy metallic flats are the result of a collaboration with Tabitha Simmons, the glitter on those dresses is the result of carefully placed Swarovski crystals, make no mistake these offbeat gems are the result of painstaking craftsmanship and attention to detail.
