Cushnie et Ochs S/S 12

Design duo Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs, eschewed the darkness of their fall collection for a look that was lighter, but every bit as sleek. Ladylike cocktail dresses found their place alongside sharply cut sheaths and elegant suiting, all worn with sky high heels to create a vibe that was sultry, yet urbane. The Cushnie Ochs girl is sexy, but never sleazy: for young designers striking that balance is easier said than done, but the brand pulled the look off with aplomb. Standout numbers like the citron dress on Isabella Melo are certain to win favor with editors, buyers and trend conscious shoppers alike.

  1. I don’t think Constance has ever looked better than she did opening this show. Va-va-voom! Great cast in general, lots of strong, sexy girls and not just the same overrated “it-girls” or teeny weeny beanpole fillers.

  2. Those are some really vivid, well-captured shots. One of my favorites is the one of Isabella Melo – I like that we get a glimpse of another girl laughing in the background, another girl staring off idly, and then that stunning focus on Isabella. It’s an interesting juxtaposition for the gaze. :)
