Though still just a teen Pedro Lourenço has already become one of fashion’s darlings; his breathtaking graphic ensembles have garnered an almost cult-like following with industry insiders and for his second season in Paris, the Brazilian designer offered up more looks worthy of praise. Expanding his oeuvre with flowing dresses that combined tulle with sculptural leather and bright splashes of color, Lourenco crafted a look that was severe yet feminine; ribbed leather draped like armor isn’t something you see everyday, but the fluid way he combined it with crisp white and transparency seemed masterful. The confidence Lourenco brings to his work and the uniqueness of his creations make Lourenco not only the golden boy of the moment, but also a designer certain to influence fashion’s future.
