still strict. The lighting is as precise as Hedi's cut, the
boy as compelling as Avedon' cropping, and to gain your kinetic
movement in the frame with just that blast of askew hair.
Historic! Stephan's art direction here was peerless. Love
the absolute consistency of vision depicted here.
The Photo-Rep: I am not going to argue with Richard
Avedon. The man is a gift to this business.
The Ad Exec: But how many people actually saw this
image. How much of a market penetration did it actually have.
The ad buy on this baby was so limited I think it really didn't
have the impact it deserved. It's like a beautiful movie that
played three movie houses nationwide for one week. I think
it's beautiful and ONE of the best but not THE best.
The Editor: Did you see the Dior Homme presentation
on-line. There is no fashion site that supersedes it. Have
you seen the sales on the Dior Homme Higher fragrance. Astronomical.
You are utterly utterly underestimating the market reach these
images had!
The Shop A Holic: If Hedi Slimane made accessories,
y'know bags and shoes for Dior I would just go over to the
shop and hand them all my credit cards and tell them to ship
me everything and not look at the bill. Oh my god. His stuff
is just so amazing!
