Tom Munro is a noted fashion and celebrity photographer. English by birth, Tom moved to New York in 1990, majoring in photography at Parsons School of Design and going on to a 3 year apprenticeship with arguably the world's most respected fashion photographer. In 1997 Tom embarked on his own career as a photographer, immediately in demand and achieving overnight success and recognition from his early editorial shoots for British Vogue and Harpers Bazaar. During the last 17 years Tom has contributed to some of the worldʼs most prestigious magazine publications including Vanity Fair, V Magazine, US Vogue, Italian Vogue, LʼUomo Vogue, W Magazine, Allure and Harper’s Bazaar. Tom's dedication and passion towards his craft has attracted some of the fashion and beauty industries most prestigious names, including Giorgio Armani, Hugo Boss , Brioni, Cover Girl, Davidoff, Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Givenchy, Lancome, Max Factor, MDNA Skin, Revlon, Shiseido, Tanqueray,TAG Heuer and Yves Saint Laurent. He has photographed for movie studios Warner Brother's and 20th Century Fox and some of the Music industries most iconic ﬁgures, such as Beyonce, Lady Gaga and Justin Timberlake. Tom had a major exhibition and book, released in 2010, of his extensive celebrity archive which includes many highly acclaimed Hollywood actors, Dustin Hoffman, Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet, Leonardo Dicaprio, Marion Cotillard, Scarlett Johansson and Tom Cruise, to name but a few. Tom has collaborated with and directed Madonna's music video ʻGive it to Meʼ, the success of which led to him directing a second video ʻDie Another Dayʼ and shooting the Tour Book for Madonnaʼs “Sticky and Sweet” World Tour. The latest commercial from director Tom Munro is for Max Factor with Candice Swanepoel. His reel also includes short films with Rihanna, Gwyneth Paltrow for Max Factor, Bar Refaeli for H.Stern and various films with Madonna for her “MDNA” World Tour.
