Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Sebastián Magunacelaya studied at the National University of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires, while working as an assistant director at Mite galería, one of the most prestigious contemporary art galleries in the country. After five years, he decided to leave the university and move to Mexico.
In Mexico, he took on the position of Creative Director at an advertising agency, while exhibiting his work in several of the city's art galleries. In Mexico City, he began to explore a new facet, that of Creative Director and Stylist for different local and international fashion magazines. His work has appeared in publications such as L'Officiel Singapore, L'Officiel Brasil and Vanity Teen, among others, and he has collaborated on campaigns for brands such as Ferragamo, Calvin Klein and Jean Paul Gaultier.
Venturing to Europe, he began his career as a Fashion Editor for Schön! Switzerland, a position he held for a year before being promoted to Editor-in-chief of the new Numéro Switzerland licence.
